The Mark Richardson Cup was brought to life to recognise Marks contribution to cricket in Germany especially in Hamburg, North Germany. Him also being one of the founding members of the Alster Cricket club in 1995 and an instrumental factor in joining hands with THC Rot Gelb in 2008.
The Mark Richardson cup is an invitational cup with a running trophy and its first edition saw 4 team participating. THCC represented by the The Reds, The Gelbs, Der Harburger Turnerbund 1865 and Moorburger TSV.
Played at two grounds, a 40 over format where each team played twice against each opponent.
